Hi my name is Lance Kuykendall and I am the president of Fiberglass Chicago, Inc. We are a smaller company with big company abilities. We believe that the customer is #1 not us. Fiberglass Chicago, Inc. wants to earn your business. Please feel free to send me an email and request a quote. No job is too small. We are a hand lay up and spray up fiberglass shop. I have had experience in the field of fiberglass at just about any angle…..repairing water slides, rollercoaster cars, amusement park display fixtures, go-kart bodies and even carousel horses too.
On a more serious note, we have the experience in pool repair, oil/water separators, re-lining water treatment tanks, inmate furniture for federal and state prisons, display fixtures for LEGO and boat repair of all sizes. I have over 5000 square feet of miscellaneous molds from all of the years past, including the old 1980’s boat company AQUA LARK.
Fiberglass Chicago, Inc. specializes in custom molding. I have molded car bumpers, race car bodies, trunk lids and 3 wheel trike bodies. I will soon be launching a fiberglass luggage trailer line up. These trailers are not your A typical luggage trailer. Check back soon for more details.

One technique of fiberglassing is called Hand Lay-Up. A Laminator hand mixes resin and catalyst, pieces of pre cut fiberglass are wet out on a table and placed into a mold. The Laminator uses rollers to ensure there will be no air in the part.

Chop is a laminating procedure that uses a “chop gun”. This gun automatically mixes resin and catalyst while simultaneously chopping stands of glass, which spray out of the guns nozzle. The chopper operator evenly coats the mold with the glass and resin mixture. Then the laminator uses rollers to roll out all air.
